Position: Product Manager
Location: Company Headquarters – Cumberland, RI

Position Overview A fast-growing producer of innovative consumer electronic equipment, media conversion solutions, and musical instruments is seeking an experienced Product Manager to oversee, manage, and expand the product line. As the Product Manager, you will do market research, come up with new product ideas, guide products through specification, engineering, development, and manufacturing, determine the marketing strategy, and work with key customers. Time to market is key.

Position Description

• Analyze the market and develop strategy for product line
• Define product specifications
• Guide products through design, engineering, and manufacturing to make sure they reach market quickly
• Track schedules and costs of product development
• Work with our Marketing department to determine the marketing strategy
• Make product presentations to key customers
• Represent the brand at key trade shows
• 25% travel required

Qualifications

• Understanding of and familiarity with the consumer electronic and entertainment market
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
• Creativity to come up with new product ideas
• Detail-oriented to make sure all aspects of product development go smoothly
• Ability to manage contract manufacturers, engineers, designers
• Understanding of latest consumer electronics technology

The IS administrator is responsible for the IT infrastructure services including desktop and server applications, local and wide area networks, security and telecommunications. Administration and maintenance of the network devices. Serves as a focal point for all inter-office, IT related matters, and is the first line of technical support, answering queries via phone, email and fax.

Duties:

• Supports offices world wide
• Assures system availability 7X24
• Develops and implements IT policies, security policies and disaster recovery plan
• Manages backups for all sites
• Manages VOIP phone system and mobile phone program
• Configures and set up new desktop and server systems
• Administers email systems

Skills:

• Windows 2003 and 2008
• Active Directory / Group policies
• Citrix environments
• Cisco switching environments
• Networking TCP/IP routing & subnets
• Microsoft Exchange
• Linux server administration
• VoIP experience a plus
• In depth knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies

 

Qualifications:

• 3 – 5 years experience with Windows and Cisco environment
• Experience with IS administration and help desk functions
• Major Certification (MCP, CCNA, MCSE)
• Self Motivated Works independently and contributes as a team player
• Strong work ethic
• Have the ability to shift gears as needed
• Exceptional communication skills
