Graphic Designer

ION Audio is a fast-growing producer of innovative consumer electronic equipment, media conversion solutions, musical instruments and gaming products. Numark is the world's largest supplier of professional DJ equipment. Alesis and Akai Professional are leading suppliers of professional audio recording equipment and electronic musical instruments. These brands are all supported in-house at our Rhode Island studio, and we are in need of your design expertise. We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing team in the design, development and production of packaging, web, and marketing materials.

Description:

Graphic Design and Production. Create graphic solutions for web, catalogs, advertising, packaging, POP, sales collateral and more. Keep designs consistent to the brand, while being innovative and interesting to the customer. Implement design concepts using various software including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suit 3 and to work exclusively in a Macintosh environment. Construct mock-ups (boxes, hangtags, sleeves, inserts, POP, and show signage). Create mechanical files, which are ready to be sent to print. Stay current on all new design techniques and technologies.


Technical Skills:

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with packaging layout and pre-press production
  • Image preparation for production
  • Solid understanding of 4 color process and spot color printing

 

Professional Skills:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in an agency or corporate design group
  • Degree in Graphic Design with a strong and broad portfolio
  • Detail oriented and capable of providing creative solutions on aggressive timetables
  • Flexibility and Time Management: a proven ability to juggle projects and priorities
  • Self-motivated team player who enjoys working with people from other disciplines
  • Organized and professional
