ION EXPANDS BLOCK ROCKER SERIES WITH TWO NEW PORTABLE, RUGGED SOUND SYSTEMS FOR iPod
BLOCK ROCKER Goes Black; TAILGATER is Even More Portable
Cumberland, R.I. (Jan. 8, 2009) – ION (ionaudio.com), a leader in consumer audio and entertainment technology, introduces two new portable sound systems for iPod: the extremely compact TAILGATER, and a black version of the popular BLOCK ROCKER. Both new systems will premiere at the Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 12544, Jan. 8-11, 2009.
The BLOCK ROCKER series is designed to empower anyone to easily enjoy his or her personal soundtrack anywhere. BLOCK ROCKER sound systems feature single-unit construction with speakers, amplifier, audio inputs and a dock for iPod all in one. The sound systems also contain rechargeable power supplies and alternately run on wall power. BLOCK ROCKER systems are convenient and clean, with no cables to run and no audio-engineering guesswork.
BLOCK ROCKER, which is now available in either bright white or basic black finish, is a rugged, robust sound system with recessed wheels and a telescoping handle for easy transport. It comes with a quality microphone and cable for complete party performance.
Joining the two models of BLOCK ROCKER is the new TAILGATER. Available in black, this diminutive, complete system scales down both the size and weight, substituting a more conventional guitar amplifier-style grip for the wheels and telescoping handle of its larger sibling.
“Many people enjoy listening to music at home on their home stereo,” said Scott Elrich, Senior Product Manager, ION. “BLOCK ROCKERs make it easy and fun to take the sound system out of your living room and with you, anywhere.”
BLOCK ROCKER is available in bright white at ionaudio.com for $299.99. BLOCK ROCKER in basic black will also be $299.99 and TAILGATER will be $199.99. Both will be available at ionaudio.com in Q2-2009.
