ION ANYROOM PLAYS CD-QUALITY MUSIC THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE, WIRELESSLY
Wireless, Multi-Room Speaker System Turns iPod Into a Remote Control
Cumberland, R.I. (Jan. 6, 2010) – ION (www.ionaudio.com), a leader in consumer audio and entertainment technology, announces ANYROOM, a breakthrough wireless, multi-room speaker system for iPod. ION will unveil ANYROOM at the Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall Booth 11714, Jan. 7-10, 2010.
ANYROOM delivers CD-quality stereo sound through walls, ceilings and floors. The speaker system consists of a remote transmitter that connects to a user’s iPod and stereo speakers that can be placed in different locations, up to 600 feet from the user. This allows users to have the sound from their iPod follow them from room to room, wherever an ANYROOM speaker is placed. Users can control the system using their iPod as a handheld, wireless remote control to select and play music, control volume level and apply sound-shaping EQ.
ANYROOM’s remote transmitter connects to the docking connector on the iPod and is small enough to fit comfortably in the user’s pocket. ANYROOM’s stereo speaker modules are stereo speaker systems each containing left and right speakers for excellent spatial imaging, good sound separation and a large soundstage for depth and three-dimensional realism.
“ANYROOM enables you to get high-quality sound wireless into any room of your house,” said Gregg Stein, Managing Director, ION. “Now, you can get great sound anywhere you want without having to worry about speaker cables!”
ANYROOM will be available from ionaudio.com during Q2 2010. It has an estimated price of $199.99.
iPod is a trademark of Apple, Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.
