MAKE WORK FUN: ION UNVEILS TOUGH SOUNDS, HEARING PROTECTION HEADPHONES WITH BLUETOOTH

Tough Sounds headphones stream music wirelessly and help to prevent hearing damage from lawnmowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and more.

Cumberland, R.I. (January 7, 2014) – ION Audio’s popular line of Bluetooth music devices has grown to include a solution for nearly every environment or situation, and now ION is introducing Tough Sounds, Bluetooth headphones that help to protect hearing and make work fun.

Tough Sounds headphones offer a Noise Reduction Rating of 22 decibels, perfect for helping to protect against the harmful roar of lawn mowers, weed trimmers, and any other piece of loud equipment. On top of helping to protect hearing, Tough Sounds headphones make the time fly by with the ability to stream music from any Bluetooth music player or phone, all while the music player or phone stays safe inside a pocket. An AM/FM radio is also included, and all the necessary controls are built right into the headphones. Skipping tracks, changing radio channels, or adjusting volume is easy, so users can quickly dial in the big game or turn up the track and get back to work.

“A home is an investment and it usually comes with a hefty amount of yard work, which can be mundane and take a lot of time. Tough Sounds headphones are both a utility and a luxury; they help to protect your hearing and to pass the time,” said Wendy Fortin, ION Product Manager. “Tough Sounds are also perfect for loud hobbies and professions, like woodworking or carpentry.”

Tough Sounds headphones also feature a built-in microphone and call-answer button, making it easy to take a quick break and answer a call. The rugged and flexible design is built for durability and comfort and even includes a 1/8-inch input to connect non-Bluetooth music players (cable included).

ION will demo and display Tough Sounds headphones for the first time in Central Hall Booth 11638 at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, January 7-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
