NOTE: You will need an Alesis kick pedal to use the DM5 module with your DRUM ROCKER. The pedal that comes with DRUM ROCKER is not designed for use with the DM5 module.

The ALESIS DM5 DM5 drum module is an add-on option that transforms your DRUM ROCKER into a full-blown stage-ready drum kit that you can use without attachment to any game system.If you've been wanting to take the action from your game into a real band, this is your ticket to ride.

DM5 is also a classic Alesis drum sound module for drummers, programmers, producers, and anyone else who needs great-sounding drums and percussion. DM5 contains 540 stereo, 18-bit drum sounds that can be assigned to any of the 21 programmable drumsets. 12 trigger inputs enable the DM5 to be used with the Drum Rocker.

DM5 also has full MIDI I/O so it can be used as a sound source for composing, programming, and sequencing with a wide variety of controllers including keyboards, pad triggers, MPCs, and more.

Alesis' exclusive Dynamic Articulation™ technology modifies sample sounds so they change as you play them. This results in sounds that respond accurately not only to dynamic changes, but also with the appropriate timbral and color changes you'd expect from their acoustic counterparts. Our Random Sample feature also ensures you don't get the same sound twice for further creative realism.

Built-in Alesis studio effects including reverb and ambiance ensure that you can send a complete, finished sound to the PA, recording system, and your headphones with no additional processing.

I want to use Drum Rocker as a real electronic drum set. What will I need to be able to do that?: While there are many "drum brains" that accept the 1/4" outputs of the Drum Rocker drum pads and cymbals, Ion recommends using the Alesis DM5 drum module with Drum Rocker. The DM5 is a professional drum module with (12) 1/4" trigger inputs and more than 500 professional quality sounds. Its trigger inputs are well suited to handle the output levels of the Drum Rocker.
Will the drum rocker come with a midi output?: Drum Rocker ships as a gaming controller. You can use it as a MIDI device by purchasing a "drum brain" with MIDI output (such as the Alesis Trigger|iO or DM5).
How do I reinitialize my DM5 Drum Module?: Power on while holding: "OUTPUT" and "VOICE". Evidence: The display will read "Initialising". Note: Does NOT clear memory Resets the Global/Utility functions, but leaves the User Program memory intact.
