The Live LP uses a veneer on top of a medium density fiber-board.
The Live LP does not come with a dustcover or have the ability for a dustcover to be connected to the device.
The Live LP uses a diamond-tip stylus and can be purchased directly from ION Audio here.
The Live LP uses a ceramic style cartridge, not magnetic. To order a new cartridge contact the ION Audio Parts Department at 1-401-658-3743 ext. 1407 and they will be happy to assist!
In order to play a 78 RPM record, an alternative 78 RPM stylus would need to be used. ION Audio makes a 78 RPM stylus which can be used with the Live LP. It can be purchased directly from this link.
No. The Live LP is a standalone turntable with stereo speakers built right in to its body. There is no USB connection available on this turntable.
I am playing my 33/45 record at the right speed, but it sounds kind of slow/fast still. Can I adjust the speed?
Yes, on the bottom of the turntable there are screw-hole speed adjustments to fine tune the speed. To adjust it, use a small eye-glass screwdriver to very slightly turn the appropriate screw to increase or decrease the speed. If you think you may need technical assistance or that your symptoms may be caused by something else, contact ION Audio Technical Support.
Yes the Live LP has a replaceable 8 inch belt. If you need to purchase one, contact the ION Audio Parts Department at 1-401-658-3743 ext. 1407 and they will be happy to assist!
What are the differences between the Live LP and the Archive LP?
The Archive LP has the ability to connect to a computer VIA the USB port, while the Live LP was designed purely as a standalone turntable with built-in stereo speakers and does not come with a USB connection. The Archive LP also has a lighter wood finish than the Live LP.
If the record is skipping try cleaning the record directly using standard lp cleaning techniques. If the record continues to skip, consider replacing the stylus which can be purchased directly from ION Audio here.
The turntable hardware is a floating mechanism and if it is moving slightly, this is ok. This does not mean the product is broken or functioning in any way that it should not. If you experience any specific symptoms that you think may be a hardware issue, contact ION Audio Technical Support.
