Why is ION Audio conducting a recall for our Cornerstone, Cornerstone Glow, Keystone and certain Sport Express speakers?

The portable speaker can burst, posing an explosion hazard. We are conducting this recall to keep our customers safe and prevent injuries by removing the recalled products.   In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, we are issuing a voluntary recall and exchange program.

How can I tell if my product is affected by the recall?

All Cornerstone, Cornerstone Glow and Keystone units are affected along with certain Sport Express units. What is the problem with my affected speakers?

We have identified a potential safety concern with these products. It has come to our attention that these units have a fault that may cause the product to unexpectedly explode.

My speakers seem to be working okay.  Can I continue using them?

No. Even though your speakers appear to be safe, we are asking all customers to immediately stop using the product and participate in the recall by returning the affected product to us for a gift card for in the amount you paid.    

I no longer have the receipt or box for the product. Can I still return it?

Yes, the original purchase receipt and packaging materials are not needed to participate.

Will I have to pay to ship my product back to you?

No, upon contacting us, you will be provided with a pre-paid shipping label you can use to send the product back to us at no cost to you.

What will I receive in exchange for my affected speaker(s)?

ION is offering an electronic gift card redeemable for the purchase price through our webstore at www.ionaudio.com. You will receive this within 1 business day of your product being received at our facility.
